Backyard Photoshoot

Yesterday was so bright & sunny I decided it was a good day to take some pictures in the backyard of the boys. Turns out I was fighting that bright sunshine in a lot of my shots, but I still think that a bunch of them turned out great. Plus the boys were looking so cute in their matching outfits!

Andrew was so excited to be outside that I had catch most of his on the move! Harrison, on the other hand, was posing for the camera every chance he could get! Time to replace outdated pictures on our living room wall . . . the boys change so quickly!

(Oh, and you're not seeing double . . . I posted my favorites in both color and black & white for you to enjoy. The colors pop so nice in some of the pictures, but there is something I just love about black & white!)
Harrison loves Andrew! He tells us all the time.
His new phrase is "Andrew is my best friend!"

We often have to remind Harrison not to hug Andrew too tightly.
He is always leading him around the house, holding his hand,
or grabbing him in a tight hug!

My Harrison with a flower he picked just for me!

His natural smile!

I like this one even though his eyes are a bit shaded by his hat.

A true Harrison pose! I love his carefree look!

Chillin' in the grass

One more picture before he was off & running with his brother!

One of my favorites of Andrew
even though it is on the move.
I love the angle & the colors!

Watching his brother.

Andrew kept going up and down the back stairs.
I didn't want pictures on them
because they are nothing special to look at,
but they have a nice rustic quality :)

Look at that happy smile!

Watching a plane go by!
The boys can spot them right away.
Some are jets leaving a streak in the sky,
others are close & loud because
they are ready to land at the airport.

Time for a swing!

By the way, in case you didn't know, if you are viewing these pictures directly on the blog (and not just through your email) you can see all the pictures larger just by clicking on one! Enjoy!

A Fun Fall Family Walk

Since Ronda was spending the weekend with us again we decided to invite Adam & Alicia down to spend the day with us. We ate lunch and decided on a family walk along the towpath. The weather was a bit cool, but the sun was shining. Plus, all the leaves were changing along the trail!

We first checked out an old model of a canal boat that is in the park. Then we headed down the path - laughing and enjoying time together. Finishing up our trip with ice cream!
Mommy & her boys on the canal boat.

We catch Harrison long enough for a quick picture!

Andrew didn't want to be held much . . .
too much to see & explore!

The boys with their Uncle Adam.
They hadn't seen him since the beginning
of August at Harrison's birthday party.

Harrison walking down the path with Uncle Adam.

Looking for the birds he heard.

Andrew finally gets tired of walking and sits down.

A quick picture with the beautiful, changing leaves!

Andrew & Daddy

Andrew riding on Daddy's shoulders.

Sisters . . . I told Ryan to take our picture because
we aren't together very often & when we are
I can't remember the last time we got a picture together!
We will have to take another one soon in nicer clothes than sweatshirts!

A Night for Football & Grandpa's Band

Friday night we enjoyed the good weather and went to the West Branch football game. We watched Grandpa's band, ate hot dogs, pretzels, french fries, & popcorn, and had a great time.
My little Andrew spent the day with Grandma
& was very excited to see me.
He wouldn't let me put him down,
or let anyone else hold him, including Daddy!

My little man . . . he loves going to sporting events . . .
baseball, football, basketball . . . he has no idea what is going on,
but he likes the atmosphere & excitement.

The boys love watching the balloons being released
when the team enters the field,
but they really wished they could have had one!

A picture with Grandma

One with Ronda too!

Visiting with Grandpa

Too much excitement . . . it was hard to get
a good picture of the boys looking at the camera!

Nickajack Farms

A few weeks ago we spent a Saturday morning at Nickajack Farms as a family. We checked out the discovery barn & learned about farming, had fun petting the barn cats & other farm animals, and picked out pumpkins!
Ready for some fun!

Giant spider Harrison had to have his picture taken with.

Excited to try out the saddle.

Harrison's turn!

The cutest little scarecrow!

The boys loved the "corn box". . . much less messy than sand!

Playing with the miniature farm in the discovery barn.

Harrison loved the corn conveyor. He tried it over & over!

Showing us where his corn ended up after he sent it up the corn conveyor.

The boys loved the barn cats because they didn't run away.

The cats enjoyed being petted as much as the boys liked petting them.

Checking out the other animals . . . a baby goat.

A baby sheep.

Outside near the pasture for a look at more animals.

Look at those happy smiling faces!

Picking out his pumpkin.

Harrison knew just which one he wanted!

Pumpkins just their size!

Andrew was so excited he wanted both!
