Just Hangin' Out

We were just hangin' out this afternoon and I just couldn't help but snap a few pictures of Carson. He was in such a good mood and smiling. Andrew was a bit grumpy when he woke up from his nap & Harrison was busy, busy all over the place, but I did catch a couple with them. Enjoy!
Carson loves to sit in his bouncer and play with his toys!

He was so happy . . . talking & smiling at me!

Just chillin' in his diaper this afternoon.

He is always chewing on his fist. He prefers it over the binks a lot of the time.
He actually has calluses on his knuckles from it.

"What's up Mama?"

Drool!!! He just learned to roll over this week!
He used to hate being on his belly but has come to enjoy it!

Look at those big, beautiful eyes. He was a bit confused about the flash.

Harrison decided to chill with Carson.
He said, "Look, now you have two Carsons!"

Kisses for his baby brother.

Andrew decided to join the fun . . . for a moment . . .
long enough to take the picture.

Yum! Rice cereal!

Carson had his first taste of rice cereal last night. He squirted it out from time
to time because he was still trying to figure out what to do with his tongue.

He got the hang of it and ate the whole bowl.
He kept smiling at me in between bites.

Then he thought he was such a big boy that he needed to hold his own bottle!
He did pretty good. I just had to readjust it every once in a while so he didn't
drink air. He gets a bottle every evening so I get a break from nursing &
so that he gets used to the bottle so that I can leave him from time to time.

All that yummy food tuckered him out!

Some warmer weather!

We have had a bitter cold winter! Especially compared to last year where we had days in the 60s & 70s throughout January, February, and March. Everyone here in Ohio has been wondering when the warmer weather was on its way. We have been stir-crazy sitting inside and sick of the cold.

The last few days have been warmer and it seems temperatures above freezing are finally here to stay. Today is cloudy but 68 degrees. The boys were dying to go outside first thing in the morning. It wasn't quite warm enough yet, so I set the kitchen timer for an hour and told them we would go out when it went off. I was surprised how quickly it went from 45 degrees when we woke up to 68! I put the boys in sweatshirts, but as it continued to warm up they took them off.

The first thing they did was jump on the trampoline. We had put it away in the garage for winter and just recently got it out. They love to jump on it, but I think I need to get a little timer to keep outside to help with taking turns. Andrew waits patiently, but Harrison thinks it is his turn again after only 1 minute of Andrew jumping!

Laying on the trampoline together. They are best buds.
I told Harrison that I used to sleep on my trampoline when I was a kid. He thought that was pretty cool. During the summer when it is warmer at night we will throw a big blanket over the top to keep the mosquitoes out and have a camp out.
Andrew decides he is done laying around and wants to jump!
Andrew's turn! He just bounces a little.
This is the first time he has really used it because
we got it when he was 15 months old
and was still learning to walk really steady.
Harrison's turn!
This kid loves to jump! It is a good way to use his energy!

Bubbles & Nemo

Harrison keeps asking when Franklin is coming back from Grandma's house. He also has been praying every evening at dinner & night at bedtime for "two pets". With that pure, child-like faith he just didn't understand why we hadn't gotten two pets. Ryan & I talked about it and decided goldfish was the way to go. We could get 2, one for each boy, and it would fill the "two pet" prayer.

We picked out a orange one for Harrison and a white with orange spots for Andrew . . . that way we could tell them apart. Harrison wanted to name his Franklin, but we told him that the dog was already named Franklin. He settled for the name Nemo Franklin. Afterall, every fish should have a middle name! We asked Andrew what he wanted to name his & he quickly told us bubbles.
Nemo & Bubbles at home in their tank.
Checking on their fish this morning. They do this everyday.
They talk to them & take turns feeding them.
I love it when Andrew comes into the kitchen
asking for the stool to see his fish.
He says, "Hi, bubbles! I love you, bubbles!"

Easter Time

We got to have the whole family over to our house for Easter this year. The boys opened their baskets from the Easter Bunny & got Easter presents from Grandma & Grandpa, Nana & Boppa, and Alicia & Adam. We had a yummy dinner & visited.

Nana made their matching Easter outfits. They looked so cute! We are going to get some good pictures of them in their outfits once we have some green on the trees. Then we will take them to the park and take a few.
So excited for the Easter Bunny this year!
It is so fun to see him grow.
Doesn't understand the while Easter Bunny thing,
but pretty excited to look in his basket.
Carson's first Easter!
Rubber ducky!
"Hmmm . . . what else is in here?!"
Books & Reese's pieces!
Harrison made paper place mats for everyone.
Just a few more cute pictures of the boys in their outfits!

A Day at the Cleveland Zoo

Daddy had Good Friday off and the weather turned a little warmer, so we packed the boys up and headed to the Cleveland Zoo. It was a little chilly, but a light coat was all we needed. The sky was blue and the sun was shining! We had a great time looking at all the animals and spending the day as a family!

2 of my little animals
The first stop was to see the elephants!
There were 5 altogether.
Harrison walked the entire time!
He only got tired at the very end of the day.
He wore his monkey backpack so we could keep track of him
& he was so well behaved!
Carson's first trip to the zoo.
We brought the double stroller for him & Andrew.
Waiting patiently while Mommy fed Carson.
Checking out the koala bear & lemur.
Carson decided he wanted to be held so I wore him in my wrap.
Taking a break from the animals to play!
Since the boys were so well behaved
we let them pick something small from the gift shop.
Andrew chose an elephant.
He sleeps with it every night and calls it Ellie.
Harrison chose a tiger. He calls his Tiggie.
Carson got a lion rattle that he loves to hold.

Snow Pooh!

A few weeks ago we got a good, wet, packing snow. The boys and I couldn't resist building a snowman. When Carson was taking a morning nap we bundled up and headed outside. Harrison & I rolled balls to make our snowman. Then he brought me snow to fill in holes and smooth it all out. I asked him if he wanted to make it a snow bear & he said, "a snow Pooh!" He insisted that he have a honey pot, have buttons, a hat, and a scarf.
He loved his snow Pooh!
He took a few pictures of it with his camera & then let me take a few.
Harrison kept peeking at his snow Pooh through
the window to check on him. Unfortunately,
he did not last until Daddy came home to see him.
The temperature warmed up to 42 degrees and he toppled over.
This boy LOVES the snow!
More fun in the snow.
Making snow angels.
Andrew isn't too big on the snow.
He will play a while but gets tired of it quickly.
He had fun playing for a while, but had no interest in helping
with our snow Pooh. He did enjoy looking at it through the window
. . . and still peeks outside to see if it is there lol
