Easter Photos

After church on Easter we took a few pictures on the back lawn of the church. It was a bit overcast and not ideal light for pictures, but they turned out okay. Fortunately a friend walked by and offered to snap a few pictures of all of us as a family.
Andrew & Harrison
Harrison looks a bit mischevious here!
What a cutie!
My favorite!
His hands-on-hip pose he always does for pictures.
This is his Casanova look. "Yeah, I know I'm good looking"
Cute baby Andrew in his little hat.
Happy baby clapping his hands.
It is hard sometimes to get him to smile & look at the camera at the same time, but I think shots like these are just as cute!

Once again not looking at the camera, but still pretty cute!

Easter Fun

After church we came back home
and discovered the Easter Bunny visited our house!
Harrison spots the Easter Baskets!
Diving into his basket to see what's inside.
A matchbox car.
It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!
Yum! An egg filled with M&Ms . . . Harrison's favorite!
Andrew's turn to dig in his basket.
A soft, stuffed chick.
Easter Little People!
Checking out his Little People dog.

After opening Easter baskets Harrison headed outside to see what the Easter Bunny left in our yard.
He had lots of fun finding his eggs.
Counting his eggs.
24 small & 12 large eggs!

Gymnastics

Harrison is currently in his second session of preschool gymnastics. He is one of the youngest (most of them are 4-5) and he is one of the only boys, but he loves it! They learn to tumble, walk the balance beam, crab walk across parallel bars, hang from the high beam, and do obstacle courses.
The warm-up is the most difficult for him to pay attention. Though the teacher tries to make it fun, he just doesn't understand what stretching is all about.
The first few weeks were a bit rough because he had to learn how to stay on his carpet square and wait his turn, but now he is used to the routine. Here he is waiting patiently for his turn on the balance beam.

to place in the Easter basket.
Another trip across the balance beam stepping over the eggs.
He noticed me taking pictures!
He loves the balance beam.
He tries to "walk the balance beam" at home all the time on different things like the edge of the carpet.
Jumping down the long trampoline.

We Just Wanna Have Fun

Here is some of the day to day fun we have been up to . . .
Andrew has his first ride in a car cart at CVS!
It was a brand new cart so the seat belt was still there. I never let Harrison ride in the car cart at the grocery store because the seat belts are always missing and he climbs out.
Since it was CVS, and the carts are smaller, so was the car.
The two boys just barely fit in it together,
but they had a great time!
Harrison playing learning games on my ipod.
He is so focused!
He works on shapes, letter, number, & memory games!
Harrison was a good boy at the store the other day so I got him a surprise . . . a felt guitar. My little rockstar loves it!
He dances, sings, and plays along to music on movies & TV shows, the music of the ending credits and, of course, the radio!
Rockin' (don't you love his KISS tongue?!)
The boys and I went shopping for Daddy's birthday and Harrison saw this Superman shirt and insisted that Daddy have it. Rather than fight him, I bought it and kept the receipt.

I told Ryan after he opened his gifts that we could take it back if he wanted. He is such a good Daddy that he kept it to wear on lazy days around the house.

Harrison was so excited when he put it on that he changed into his Spiderman shirt so they could both be superheros!
Harrison loves to dress himself. He will go through several outfits in one day. He loves dress clothes. This particular day he decided to change his shirt and wear a tie. What a goof!
Harrison crashes in between playing hard! Sometimes he falls asleep in the strangest places, in the strangest positions. The other night he fell asleep on the living room floor at 6pm. I changed him into jammies and carried him to his room & he slept till 6am!
The boys used to sleep in till 7:30 but this past month have been waking up at 6:00! We haven't changed their bedtime either. This particular morning Harrison got us all up at 6:00 and then 20 minutes later crashed in Ryan's chair until 9:00.

Crawling & Cruising

Once Andrew figured out crawling and cruising around the furniture there was no stopping him! He will stand without holding onto anything for almost a minute, but still hasn't taken that first step. That's okay, we are enjoying it while it lasts, because soon he will be running around the house!

Playing on the floor
Crawling around
He loves to crawl all over the place
and follow Mommy & Harrison around.
"Hmmm . . . what should I play?"
Playing the piano for us.
He pulls himself up on everything now.
"Hey Mama, wanna play?"
"If only I were a little taller!"
"I'm not getting into anything!"
(Notice he got the baby lock off the cabinet door)
We have to keep all the end tables clear
or else Andrew gets everything!
Looking so cute in his blue jeans, sweatshirt, and tennis shoes!
He now drinks out of a sippy cup.
We actually have to watch him because he likes to steal Harrison's and they aren't always spill proof!
