Andrew's First Haircut

Harrison was due for a haircut & I decided that it was about time for Andrew to finally have one. When his hair is freshly washed it curls up pretty good, but most of the time it looks like this mess. We headed to Nana's house this afternoon & I had her cut the boys' hair for me. Here are some pictures I captured of Andrew's first haircut.
BEFORE
The first few snips
Sitting so still
Checking out what Harrison was up to.
He was an angel through the whole thing:
sitting so still and smiling, happy as can be!
All done! Hamming it up for the camera!
AFTER
I think he is thinking,
"Ok Mommy, enough pictures already!"

2 Months Old!

Our little Carson turned 2 months old yesterday! It is hard to believe 2 months have passed since he joined our family! He is such a happy baby. We love to see his expressions (especially his use of his eyebrows that he does all the time). He likes to coo & laugh too! His brothers adore him and are such good helpers. We can't imagine our life without our 3 beautiful boys!

Playing in his bouncer this evening. He kept holding onto the legs
of his bee toy or hitting it to make the bell inside jingle.
His brothers never played with the toys on the bouncer.
It is so cute to see him do it.

Animal Flashcards

We have big animal flashcards that I use to teach Andrew the different animals & I have him say their names. I used them with Harrison when he was younger. This morning Harrison got them out and started reviewing them with Andrew. I quickly grabbed my camera & caught a little bit of this precious moment. He is such a good big brother!

Carson Cooing

Carson has been cooing a lot lately, but by the time we get out the video camera he stops. This afternoon I was working in the kitchen & heard him in his bouncer cooing like crazy. Quickly grabbed the camera and caught a little bit of it.

He always uses his eyebrows . . . even when he is not cooing his eyebrows seem to be his biggest source of expression!

The "Dinosaur Museum"

I promised Harrison that we would go to the "Dinosaur Museum" if he was a good boy. So, this morning I packed the boys in the car & headed out. The museum is actually the McKinley Museum that is part of the McKinley National Monument. There is a science museum, planetarium, and McKinley library. Harrison calls it the dinosaur museum because there is a dinosaur exhibit.
Ready for some fun!
(Andrew fell asleep during the car ride over
and is still trying to wake up when this picture was taken.)

Harrison already had his monkey backpack,
but we stopped at the store before going to the museum
to buy a backpack for Andrew.
His is a teddy bear.

The boys like their backpack.
They are cute, soft & cuddly with a little pocket on the back
for them to put "treasures".
Mommy likes them because she can keep them close by!

First stop: Dinosaurs!
This one moves & roars, but the rest of the exhibit is fossils.

Fascination Station (Science exhibits)
Checking out the tornado!

Learning how gears work.

Fire Station in the Street of Shops
Harrison wants to be a fireman when he grows up!
Posing with the Fire House Dog.

Checking out the fire helmets.

Time for trains!

This is a Thomas the Train table that is near the model train exhibit.

Checking out the model trains.

Our last stop whenever we visit the museum is the bearing ride.
Think of the teacup ride at Disney . . .
only this one has a button in the middle to turn off & on the bearings,
so you can feel the friction difference with & without the bearing working.
We always ride twice - turn one way,
then the other so we "unwind" and don't get dizzy!

Getting Big Already!

Here are some cute, random pictures of Carson. He is getting so big already! Since he was over 10 lbs. when he was born, he skipped newborn clothes & diapers entirely! He just barely fits in 3 month clothes right now. At his 1 month check-up last week he was 12 lbs. 4 oz. and 23.5" long!
Aunt Ronda spent last weekend with us
and snuggled Carson during one of his naps.

In his owl hat I bought for him for Christmas.
I thought it would be too big for him when it came in the mail,
but it fits just about right since he is such a big boy!

Taking a nap with Boppa.

Playing on his tummy for the first time!

He is really strong. He was holding his head up at just a few days old.

The Dune Racer

Aunt Alicia & Uncle Adam bought the boys a Dune Racer Power Wheels for Christmas! We left it at Boppa & Nana's because we couldn't fit it in the car to take it home. Boppa put it together & charged the battery. When the snow melted the boys took it for a spin around their yard.

They have brought it to our house and it is sitting in a garage waiting for another day when the snow has melted and the ground is dry enough to ride.
But it sure is tempting to the boys every time they see it when we go out to the garage to get in the car.

Climbing in for the first time.

Checking everything out.
Boppa is showing him the "gas pedal" to make it go!

Taking it for a spin!

Andrew joins in the fun!

Andrew was perfectly content letting Harrison drive him around,
which is good since his feet didn't reach the pedals!

Christmas Baby Carson

I saw this Santa hat and snuggle suit online and asked Mom to make one like it for Carson since he was born just 5 days before Christmas. We thought that a set of newborn pictures in it were appropriate.

This was our birth announcement picture.

Carson's Great Aunt Marcia gave him this blanket.
It has a vintage Christmas print on the top
and I couldn't resist a few pictures with it also!

Carson's First Bath

Carson loved his first bath. I made sure the water was nice & warm. I also turned on the heat lamp in the bathroom so he wouldn't catch a chill. He just laid there content.

All swaddled up in his jammies for bed.

He was so cozy & warm he quickly drifted off to sleep.

Jammie Boys

The boys' Great Grandpa & Grandma Madliak sent them matching train jammies for Christmas.
One evening the boys were dancing along to The Laurie Berkner Band on the TV. When we got out the camera they started showing off.
Enjoy the silliness!
Harrison striking a pose. He likes to be Spiderman!

Andrew fell off a chair and got a boo-boo . . .
a black eye and a little scrape.

The boys love to yell!
They get in screaming matches all the time & it drives me crazy!
The worst is when they get going when we are all cooped up in the car!
Dancing their hearts out.

Taking a break.

Look at those adorable boys!

I love Andrew's curly red hair, his sparkling eyes, and his big smile!

Happy Carson!

Watching his big brothers dance.

Let the dancing continue!
