Carson Update: 6, 7 & 8 Months

Since we had such a busy summer I didn't give the monthly Carson updates, but I did manage to remember to take the pictures! Enjoy!

6 Months

Sitting in his Bumbo seat to strengthen his
tummy muscles and learn to sit on his own.
He loves to sit in it and watch what his brothers are up to,
like coloring or play-doh.
Happy baby as always!

 7 Months

In his cute Sock Monkey outfit
from Grandma & Grandpa Barnett
Kisses and snuggle for his sock monkey.
Could this kid get any cuter?
Carson was born tongue tied. If you don't know what that means, that piece that attaches your tongue to the bottom of your mouth was super tight and went all the way to the tip of his tongue. Long story short, they didn't do anything about it in the hospital when they should have. He couldn't stick his tongue out or eat baby food. (He just couldn't move the food back because the tip of his tongue would curl down and the middle of his tongue would arch.) Finally, after his 6 month check-up with the pediatrician, she referred us to an ear, nose, and throat doctor to have it snipped. It was a quick, in-office procedure that has made a world of difference! He now babbles, says: Mommy & Daddy, and can eat like a champ!
Here he is the day before his appointment to have it snipped.
Look at that cute little curled tongue.
It was so tight the tip "forked".
It still is a little from being to tight for so long.
GG got him this cute toy and apparently
it was just the motivation he needed
to sit up on his own so he could play with it!

 8 Months

Crawling like crazy!
Handsome little man
Always full of smiles!
He has the strongest tummy muscles!
He is constantly balancing like this!
Watch out! He only "army crawls"
but he sure does get around fast!
He can keep up with his brothers and get into trouble in no time!
Yum! Carson grabbed the baby food that
I had started feeding him and chowed down!
Yummy prunes!
He is eating like a champ now that his tongue is fixed!
But still has no teeth.
He insists on having Cheerios after eating every meal.
If you stop feeding him abruptly, he gets mad.
